How To Burn Belly Fat

In this section I’m going to tell you how to burn belly fat. I’m going to give you 5 proven tips to burn belly fat fast. Lots of people believe that doing thousands of crunches or walking for hours on a treadmill will do the trick. Others believe starving themselves will get rid of belly fat. All these theories are wrong.

Tip 1 – Increase Your Protein Intake

You need increase your protein intake and decrease your carbohydrate. This is because it takes more calories to burn protein then it does carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are more likely to be stored by your body as fat. Burning more calories increase your bodies metabolism, which increases your fat burning. Eating a good source of protein with each meal will increase the rate at which your body burns calories.

Since you will be watching your calorie intake it is important to reduce the amount of corn based carbohydrates you take in. Get your bodies carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables. If you do this at the same time as you increase your protein intake you will see results in a much shorter length of time.

Tip 2 – Keep a Food Journal

This will help you track and adjust your food intake. This will also help you become accountable for the food you put in your mouth and help lower the rate in which you consume food. As you become accountable for the food you eat you then become aware of the habits, good and bad with the food you consume. You will find that once this has been addressed you will then start to burn fat at a higher frequency.

Tip 3 – Drink Water

As you work towards your fat loss goals, drink only water. Stay away from fizzy drinks as these types of products have a high sugar and calorie content. The more fizzy drinks you consume will have an adverse affect on the fat you burn. A lot of fruit based drinks will also have a high sugar content.

Tip 4 – Weight Training

One of the biggest secrets when it comes to burning fat is weight training. If you build muscle you in turn burn more calories and increase your metabolic rate therefore burning more fat. I don’t mean you need to end up like Mr or Mrs universe but, incorporating weight training into your normal workout will increase the fat you burn and help towards the results you desire.

Burning belly fat is not all about walking on the treadmill for hours or doing a thousand crunches. It is about firing up your metabolism and therefore your fat burning potential.

Tip 5 – Cardio Workout

Cardio work out is still an important part of you work out routine. This doesn’t mean just walking or going for a run. The best method for a cardio workout is HIIT or high intensity interval training. Start out with a steady cardio program and then build yourself up to HIIT. You will need to have a good fitness base before you move onto HIIT.

Incorporating HIIT into your workout routine will rapidly increase your metabolism and keep you metabolism burning at a high rate even after your workout has finished.

Conclusion

If you follow these simple steps you will start to see results in a very short space of time. Following these steps will help massively increase your fat burning potential and get you to the look you desire.

  1. I am really pleased I came across this as I have been in lockdown in Vietnam, I live in HCMC, for 4 months. The gov. here has introduced strict measures to fight Covid. As a result I have put on about 5 kilos and feeling very flabby around the middle. We are still limited in where we can go and the gym is out of the question. I love the diatry tips but what would you recommend for indoor exercises to reduce my ever expanding stomach? I used to swim and walk a lot, but now can not, so looking for the best indoor exercises. Thanks Stephen.

  2. Hello, Adam. By far the best advice I’ve seen on body fat, I go in and out and fluctuate with weight only because I’m not consistent at present. I believe sleep should also be on your list, but if you hit it on the nail with high-intensity cardio, you can’t go wrong. These workouts give you burn to make you feel good and can be adapted to your capabilities. As far as protein, this is true, so you are not as hungry after and don’t end up eating loads of carbs.

    1. Thank you for your kind words about my article.  You are very right, sleep patterns also make up a vital part of a healthy life style.  I am currently working on an article about this.  This will be published shortly.
